HELP, ttb disassembly

I had a hellavu time getting mine off too, & I'm in a area with zero rust. My impact wouldn't do it, and a 3' cheater neither.

Ended up getting the torch and heating the studs up red hot, then they busted loose. Ford must have lock-tited the shit out of em.

Ill be doing the same thing, i think, removing my d35 to swap in another. Thing is I can't figure out what to do first when taking apart hte d35. I notice the housing is meant to swing open but cant swing open without removing theaxles. Is there something Im missing?

Do you have stock arms or long arms?

If you have stock ones, your gonna have to tear it all apart.

If you have long arms you might be able to get away with unhooking the radius arm at the frame, loosening the radius arm studs one the axle, and swing the radius arm out enough to remove the pig.

When I did it I unhooked my radius arm from the frame, and unbolted the left axle beam from its drop bracket and took at all out as a unit, and then unbolted the d35 pig.

I have the factory arms and Im replacing with the factory arms from an exploder, Im thinkin the only thing really changin is 3.27's to 3.55's. But if your talking unhooking radius arms, then I might as well swap one complete assembly for another. I was jus tlooking for a way to do it all in one day. But I dont see that happening, not with prep work and all.
