First time user so bare with me. !984 ranger 2.3l with a TK4 transmission. I recently had to replace my speedometer drive gear inside the tail housing. I got everything back together but when i went to put my gear shifter back in the hole that it goes in has turned 90 degrees to the left. It will not move to its original position. Does anyone know why this would happen? and am i going to have to take it apart again?
