That way the money's direct, not to someone else and a small portion to you guys.

Donations as well as card purchases come directly to my department, then the balance for the cards program are sent out monthly to the agency. If you would like to make a donation instead of participating in the discount card program, PM me for info. And once again to those that have participated and donated, we appreciate your support and a thanks from all my members goes out to ya'll.

Hey how is it going now is your department back up on its feet?

Still working on it. They have not yet decided what to do about rebuilding or finding an alternate location. I know that one location they were looking at fell through. I have ended this fundraiser as there was not enough interest in it. It's slow going with the economy and with grants coming to an end, it will be hard for the volunteer side of emergency services to survive...

It works in all states, possibly Canada as well. It was both online shopping as well as local stores. PM me if your interested in getting into the program, I've still got the info...

Were the donations helpful at all? How much have you guys raised so far?

Less than 10 cards were sold, and a few donations were made. About $250 was raised just from my efforts. I have had a few things come up, and have not been able to devote the time its needed...

So did you all get back up on your feet? and running calls again?

We have surrounding stations that picked up the calls in the area. We also were able to obtain a grant shared with other projects ongoing in the county. Officials are looking into a better location to build the new station. I believe they are planning on closing one station and building the new station to cover both zones...
