I noticed this morning that I have a Lot of scratches on my truck. It looks as if someone took an' SOS pad to the paint and ran it along the sides to get dirt off. When the truck is wet, you can't see the scratches. Is there a way to get the scratches Out without having to sand down the entire body and repaint it?

if the scratches are not to deep a good rubbing compound will work or have it cut and buffed by a detail shop

A typical auto parts store carries that right? I should know. But I wanted to be sure.

If they are a little deeper than polishing compound can handle, you can try to wetsand with 1500 grit sandpaper and then polish. Be careful not to break down into the base coat or you're going to have to spot repair.

I had a friend come over yesterday and he was suprised to see just one side covered in scratches. Thankfully he let me use his buffer w/ compound and I ran it over the scratches and Poof! Gone. I did the three stage like I was taught in Autobody. Luckily it was only in the clearcoat. I hand-waxed the entire truck *Would be stupid to just wax half the truck. lol*. My friend said that either wax, or putting Armor-All would work just as good. What do you guys think?

Turtle Wax, Mothers Polish or Armor-All?

Yes. I just used Turtle Wax on the body and Armor All on the tires. Like I usually do. But he said to use Armor All on the body too. I didn't and wont.
