Hope I'm in the right forum here :icon_confused:
I have 97 Ranger Ext Cab 4x4 5spd 3.0l V6 ....i have quite a vibration in my drive shaft ( 2piece) . I have read several article that this is a common problem with trucks with 2 piece drive shafts & that allot guys replace them with one piece ones out of 99's & 2000's etc. with a bit of simple modding .I've found one out of a 99 ranger ext cab 4x4 5spd but the wheel base is different on the 99's .....i think mine is 125" and the 99 is 126"......will this have any effect on changing the drive shaft out ..........would like to know before i go buy it & remove the carrier bearing etc in mine .
Tks and any info greatly appreciated

Its a direct swap, your truck will be a 126" WB aswell.

Tks appreciate the info......i've got to get rid of that vibration .

I've measured the distance between the rear driveshaft flanges on the TTB trucks vs. SLA trucks, and it was within a half-inch.
I think the wheelbase difference might be because the front axle is forward a bit more on the SLA trucks than on TTB trucks.
