Well i was doing a cam swap on my 92 ranger with a 4.0. I pulled the little plastic caps off the lifters, well guess what there way to brittle and old to put back on with out breaking and you cant buy them with out lifters. I dont want to go spend like 350-400 bucks on new lifters i could buy a 302 for that. so i was just wondering if i can run them with out the little plastic caps on the top of the lifters Thanks guys.:3gears:

Im sure you could, but poor lube for the contact areas i would guess........? I would go to a yard and spend a day and pick them yourself. If it fits in your pocket its free ahhahahhahaah

God damned right ... my den is festooned with 80's Ranger XLT and Thunderbird emblems.
