Help on 11 inch rear drum OR discs on Ranger/Explorer

Having a parking brake that'll keep you from rolling backwards is nearly worth the effort of the swap.

I have had that happened, out the parking lot across the street. and I could have sworn i left in gear.

Well, I already have the Explorer axle - in the form of FX4/LevelII (31 spline & bigger bearings) and I have an Explorer disc setup on its way in the mail. But I did not realize that the parking brake would also help me. I too have had problems and have consciously had to park facing downhill just to be sure it would not wander off somewhere if I wasnt looking (they can be so disobedient sometimes).

As a sideline, I looked at the 2011 Ranger today and the rear disc setup it has... Glad I dont have to use it!
