So I bought some new Bosch O2 sensors on a whim and can't figure out how to access the connectors for the wires as they are tucked in between the firewall and back of the top end of my 93 Xcab XLT 4x4 Ranger with AC. How and the heck do I get to these connectors? my hand barely makes it back there, but gets jammed up in between the intake manifold and brake booster on the drivers side and the passenger side is totally inaccessible due the AC condenser. I put a wrench on the actual sensors and they broke loose no problem from the exhaust pipes which was my initial concern after reading a few post on TRS and RPS.

Any advice appreciated!

Remove intake manifold, unbolt AC compressor (dont disconnect coolant lines)

Now you have tons of room!

G'luck

Or climb under the truck and attack it from below. It's a stretch, but I've done my 91 that way, though it only has one sensor and it's on the passenger side.

Damn.......Nothing is ever easy! Pretty sure I can't access it from below. Guess my 1/2hr job just got a little longer.

i did mine from topside (electrical conections) but i do have small hands. do you have a freind with smaller hands to help you out? it was a chore, but doable. its also fun plugging the new ones in.

OMG all that just to change some O2 sensors. Pull the inner fender well out and access it that way. Or like Mike said do it from the bottom. It isn't that hard to do.

Sorry, I like taking stuff apart :D
