hello, Im currently working on getting heat to come out of the vents. It deff blows cold air but no heat. Ive recently cut into the block box where the heater core is and swung and taped the blend door shut. The two hoses running to the heater core are both hot (thinking maybe its shot). The heat blows for only a second then immedatley turns to cold. Im stumped can anyone help? please any information would be greatly useful considering its only 14 degrees outdoors. Also ive topped off all my coolant tanks thinking maybe they were low.

Are you 100% sure you got all the air out?

If both hoses are hot the heater core is ok. You taped the blend door shut and still cold
I would check the duct work for obstruction [ trash down the defrost vent or rodent
nest] Both of these can obstruct the main plenum. One thing more make sure coolant level is ok no air traps.
