hey guys i have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0 automatic 4x4 and im looking to get a lift the only thing is suspension lifts for that year are soo expensive i want to run 35s i was thinking about getting a 3in body and then gap gaurds but i dont think it will b high enough to clear the tires and if they do itll look wack what can i do to get her raised up even more:dunno:

Run a 3 inch bl and crank the torsion bars as well as a set of belltech shackles for the rear. That will net you around 5-5.5" lift which is the same amount of lift Im running with 35s. Good luck pushing that much rubber around with stock gears tho. You will definitely want to regear to a minimum of 4.88's with the 3.0L and auto tranny.

yea i didnt even really think about gears lol i guess all have to look into that but for the lift i was thinking about gettin the superlift front end 4in suspension and for the rear get an add a leaf kit and then get an overall 3in body is that a good idea

to get that much lift outta cranking the tbars, is gonna give you a helluva stiff ride. Check with the big names, Duff doesnt do rangers past 98 last i checked but ruff country and some of the others do. Or you can just buy you a jeep wrangler solid axle and go from there. May even be cheaper in the long run.

Well, think about this for a moment.

Gears: USUALLY $250.00-300.00 per set (front/rear)
Master Install Kit: $100-150 per set (front/rear)
Labor/Installation cost: $500.00-1,500 (depending on who's rebuilding them)

You cant forget to add in all the little things like seals, brakes, bolts, u-bolts, bearings, etc. so add at least another $150 on top of that.

Grand total of (estimated of course) at MINIMUM $1200.

Now remember this figure will vary drastically by area, your mechanical abilities, etc.

35's with that crappy motor? You are going to suffer horrible gas milage!! Plus.....you will need to spend bucks on new gears...If you really want to add taller tires just run 33's at the most. You need 4:10 a least for 33's. Save your gas and your money and don't buy 35's!!

dangg i guess your rightt i really want 35s i dont c how an extra 2 inches would make a difference but well c might end up puttin gears
