Hey.

I'm looking for owners of Magnaflow's dual out system on 98=03 trucks. I found the tailpipes from those kits for sale at Summit for $50 each...looking to put tailpipes back on my truck(tired of being dumped). Looking to use those tailpipes and bolt 'em up to my existing 'head pipe' and Flowmaster Super 44.

So, for you 3.0/4.0L 98-03 magnaflow dual out system(the kit) owners:

Are the Dual-out magaflow kits muffler exits VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL?? Muffler vertical or horizontal?

What's the measurement from the Y pipe flange to the front/inlet 'wall' of the muffler?

Getting those answered will help be gauge to see if they'll fit my application. Pictures of your system is greatly appreciated and very welcome. And please...I dont need to see just your exhaust tips. lol.

Thank you very much in advance.

Shane

Have you considered a side exit before the tire? Your BL makes it easy, you remove the resonance from under your truck and it makes the exhaust hard to hit off-road, just a thought...

Tailpipes are gonna be dumped before the hitch, all still tucked up....most likely not very visable as well. I've been dumped for like 3 years now and can't stand it anymore. lol. I miss having a full length tailpipe.

Side exit's on at least 98+ trucks suck with hte bodylift, because if not bent up right and the pipe exiting before the spring hanger, the tip is way too low and well...side pipe just ain't my bag baby. oh god...austin powers reference. jeeeze. lol. Im picky when it comesto exits with tips. lol.

I meant run it over the frame that way it's tucked up nice and high.
This is how we did it on my friends ranger, same as my B2.

But if you dont really care for the looks then I guess it's a moot point..

actually.....same concept I was thinking about for a dump in the factory location but on both sides. Alot like a old GTO where the tip is dumped and a 45 coming from nowhere. That was my little thought as well....alot like this:
