I've been getting cabin fever again. I start to obsess more than usualWhen I brought my ranger from the ford dealer, all I knew is I wanted it. I never really minded the headboard missing the trim across (nearest the back window) nor the two little holes on the metal body rib
.under. the back window, nor that the body carpet along the back wall of the cab had been removed??
Has anybody else brought their rangers with missing componants? Thanks in advance! Bill- AKA fever

I bought mine from a guy and the fuel tank straps were rotted away and the outer trim piece from the drivers side door was missing if that's what you mean

the last truck i bought was missing an engine... well, it was in the bed, in pieces.

the interiors of both my escorts where in various stages of disassembly when i got them. the weird thing is nothing was missing...the panels were just laying about and all the screws were on the floor....like they fell out somehow

I wish I had a pic of my 86 when I picked it up. Covered in snow, mud, and greasy crap. The whole front clip was disassembled, engine parts and cooling system gone, fuel pumps were bad, flat and cracked tires, just all around awful shape. Looked like a rez truck actually if not worse.

For as bad as it looked, it actually cleaned up pretty good and turned out to be really rust free. Of course it has its share of leaks, noises, vibrations, etc but my shed full of parts will fix that.

Mine truck bed was put on crooked and had 3 bolts holding my rear bumper.It left the factory that way.Back then Ford was advertising Quality is job 1
