i have a 99 3.0 auto. i have no frist gear, so i take off in second and put it in drive once i get going. the ? i have what other trans will work. i go on craigslist and see alot of trans for sale out of a 2.5 and 4.0

so what trans will enter-swap. please list by year motor 2or4 wheel drive and so on

2.5 is a no go.

4.0 would work but you would need to put your 3.0 bell housing on it.

you will need a 4x4 only, 2wd trans would if you know how to rebuild the trans.

im geussing you have a 4r44e, so a 4r44e, 4r55e, 5r55e would work.

just rember there is a good reason on why they are selling the trans.
