Hey fellas,
I'm looking into new wheels for the D.R. but I can't decide on which ones.. I want black steelies and like the black soft from AWC and Bassett DOT's.. I like the red rim line and yellow logo from bassett, but perfer the styling on the AWC. Stock my ranger has the 14x7's, but I think i want to move to 15x8's. Taller and wider, but what size tire (I'm diggin the look of BF goodrich radial TA's..) should i go with and what speedometer gear do i need if i move to the 15's? Oh, and what is the truck's bolt spacing?
Thanks for your input! :icon_cheers:

Aww come on! All these views only one suggestion? I know i should have made this thread a poll but its too late for that.. I think i'm gonna go with 15x8 bassetts wrapped in bf goodrich ta rubber.. what size tire though? and since im goin from stock 14's what speedometer gear do i need for the tranny? I have 3.73's outback btw...
Thanks,
Derek

speedometer gear is gonna depend on what tire size you end up with. if you keep the over-all diameter the same, you wont need a different speedometer gear.

I like the Bassett wheels. Your bolt pattern should be 5on4.5. For tire size what are you looking for? Do you want to go bigger, smaller or keep roughly the same size? Once you figure that out go here to figure out what gear you need.

Thats the thing, I'm not tire smart. My firebird has 16x8's and sports P245/50 R16 tires and i like the look and width of them. They are about 3 inches tall (rim out) and close to a foot wide.
Thanks to everyone's input, I'll be putting 15x8 bassetts on the truck. Which availible tire size will closely resemble the firebird's??
P245/60R15
P255/60R15
P255/70R15
P275/60R15

Thanks again :headbang:
