from the factory, my truck was all light blue. i added a black stripe along the bottom of the truck and im really happy with the look it gave it. the biggest reason i painted it though, was to cover up rust (dont give me crap about rust coming back, ill just paint over it again) but since ive painted it, i've thought about doing a little more paint on it. i want to do something a little higher on the truck, so take your pick of these very crude (mspaint) photoshops.

how it sits right now, single black stripe at the bottom of the truck.

same black stripe at the bottom (wont have paint around the wheel wells but will have bushwacker cutouts) along with stripe along the top of the fenders and top of the bedsides.

same as above, extending all the way to the bottom of the drip rails.

b-series style, windows would be tinted too...

i like the second pic, but you should paint the hood black too.

thats the one im leaning toward too. i dont know if i can paint that much area and make it look good though. with just the small stripe things arent as noticeable, but over the bigger hood, i think it would be tough to make it look good.

you should do a flat scheme not all black alot of people do that, but main body flat tan and the trim flat black or flat dark green. or satin, whatever

wow, ur truck is the same color as mine, altho mine had a factory strip on the lower half and on the fender lips or what ever there called, id fix the rust tho, u can buy part of that bed to redo it, there only like 30 bucks i think off of LMC truck.

here a paint scheme just like my truck

If he is rolling it or spray bombing it it would be hard to make it look good, but if he does it with a good spray gun and clears it it should look great.

I could probably do it myself with the right equipment that I don't have access to anymore.

Darn, Bro....that is some serious rust back there. Are you going to weld that area up or just grind it and put filler in it???

above the wheel wells will be cut out and covered by bushwacker cutouts. on the bed rails will just be sanded and painted (and repainted as necessary)

cody, you have any real pics of that truck?? i was really thinking about painting it that way but i couldnt find any pics of trucks the right color with that paint scheme, and everybody else i talk to doesnt think it would look very good. doesnt matter much anyways since im using the fender flares though...

Here's a super cab one to look at, gives you the lines better. Does anyone make window covers like the old school F-series rear windows?

In my opinion go for the first one, I really like that for treatment on the old trucks. Plus to any Ford guy they will instantly know what you did. And since the Ranger was a mini F-series it will be fitting.

I would go with the 2 tone blue personally. But if you want to do it right, you could go with metallic grey like mine. Does not show dirt or scratches that much.
