I just installed 4.56 gears up from 3.73s in my Ranger. combined with the 33in tires up from 215/75/15 tires, how do i figure out how far off my speedo is?
This would be handy to know coming home from parties lol...

I know it should be close again but how close?

sorry wasnt paying attention to what i was reading i skipped over your gear change so the link i gave you isnt going to realy help.

I've gone from 3:73s and 31's to 4:56s and 33's and my speedo said I was going 5km/h to 10km/h faster than I actual was, so if the speedo said 80 I was only actual going 70.
To fix it I changed the little speedo gear in the transfer case.

215/75/15 tires with 3.73 gears would be 2672 rpm at 60mph (in 4th)

33" tires with 4.56 gears would be 2744rpm at 60.

Not enough of a difference to be worried about.

Thanks guys. i didn't realize it would be such a small difference. I'll just figure it out when i put on the 35's.
