Help!!! I Blew Reverse!

okay, so my reverse blew on my 2000 5-spd ranger, but every other gear works but when i was hoping i would make it home there is a clicky-whining noise when moving in all the other gears.. so do you think its gonna be a just like a new gear and i can tear it apart, or do i just need to find a whole nother one...

With something like that, you don't know what you have til you tear it apart.

yea i planed on doing that somtime this weekend, but does anybody know where to get replacment parts??

Possibility that the band strut broke off of reverse band and its banging around inside tranny.
