I have a 88 bronco 2.9 v6. I had a fuel pump (tank) go out. So, i replaced with a new precision pump. The vehicle was untagged....so it sat for a week. I went out to start...ran fine. 2 days later....Nothing. So, i think faulty pump. So i take out...get another ..put it....runs fine. start it up every couple days..for another week...then boom. Nothing. So i replace again. Got inspecyted..tagged....and boom ...again the fuel pump is out. Has anyone had this problem?

Ive heard of using a MR Gasket 42s external. Was thinking of hooking up directly on a switch and by passing the whole relay ect. turn on the switch...start the truck......and vise versa. As i see it ...it is a loop fuel system where any unused gas goes back to the gas tank anyway.

Any suggestions?
