hey can anybody help me find the correct ecu for my motor is there a site or something... all i got for info. is that my motor is from a 97 explorer 4.0 sohc ... but theres a whole bunch of difrent ones i hear. i have tried a couple from the same vehicle and they dont work. the motor just cranks no spark or nothing and i used a 4.0 ohv and it starts but missfires... i got the motor from the junkyard they didnt have the ecu ...
or am i just dumb hahaha dont say yes

Did the 97 Explorer have PATS? That would explain the no fuel situation.

If the PCM is set up for PATS, you'll need to get the key, module, body computer and wire them in. Or find somebody to disable PATS in the PCM.

yeah . i dont think they had it... cause my 98 ranger xlt king cab didnt... :icon_confused:
people tell me that there is soo many that one can work and one wont from an exact model and year that they change from state to state...

where the wiring harness is i just use four wires and the fuel and all the electrical is separate ... no help :annoyed:
