Alright well this might seem like a noobie question to some. But I'm working on my first engine rebuild and I've hit a roadblock.
I went to pull the cam out in order to change the bearings for it, lap the valves and change the valve seals, and I can't seem to figure out how to get the cam out.
I unscrewed the two philips heads and the plate that stops axial play, but I'm afraid of screwing up the rockers knocking the cam out. Is there some way to remove them ? I can't seem to find any info on removing it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S it is a 93 dual spark 2.3L

if the head is still on the block, take a couple pry bars and pry the valve spring down between the spring cap and the cam, if you only hit the cam between the lobes you won't hurt anything, even if you hit the edge of a lobe it won't hurt anything...

they make a nice tool to remove the rockers but like scott said, just take a screwdriver and pry the rocker down.i just use one.you will have to jack the motor up a couple inches if it is still in the truck, won't quite clear the rad bar.
