Help an old guy out

I have a 2006 Ranger I bought new and the radio just broke. This is the stock cd/am/fm. I liked the radio and asked the dealer if I could get another like it but the cost was unreal, he said to get one from Crutchfield. I checked their site and they have a bunch for cheap.

I just need a radio (cd,am,fm) that will slide in the stock location and won't require any modifications. I want to use my stock speakers and wiring harness. I would kinda like to be able to plug in my iPhone and listen to my podcast. What would you suggest? I've been looking for a used stock radio but haven't found one yet.

Last time I bought from Crutchfield (years ago) they included everything needed to install as well as instructions with very clear pictures of the exact vehicle the radio went into. I kid you not, a twelve year old could have done the swap with those instructions.
If you buy from Crutchfield you should have no problem doing it yourself.

I agree, and they have very good customer service too.

Another vote for Crutchfield. They have been a leader in car audio for almost as long as car audio has been a thing. Using an aftermarket radio with just the stock wire harness in not realistic, you at least need to use an adapter harness. It will be one piece that fits the truck, one that fits the radio (will come with radio) and you match wire colors, crimp, and plug it in.
