Hi,
I have a 4r44e with a 3.0l. It has always been a hard shifter with slush, along with a 3 second + delay into reverse.

The NEW symptom is that when I'm coasting to a stop and am in the 25-5 mph range the car seems to "reboot." The speedometer jumps up and the fuel gauge. With a sudden jump in RPM's. I want to say it is the tranny but maybe not? I suspect solenoids, or a valve?

Earlier this summer I replaced the EPC and had the tranny taken apart and was going to have my tranny guy rebuild it but he said everything looked new and was not very worn. Put in a new Torque conv. while I had it out. We had reset the computer so he didn't get any codes but suspected solenoids. So the issue from earlier this summer was never found but it ran good until now.

Will take it by him Monday for codes hopefully, but the O/D has blinked so not sure if it has kicked any codes yet.

What are your thoughts? I've been scouring the internet all day in hope of finding something. Please help and throw some ideas into the ring. Let me know if you need more details, anything. I need to get this fixed so I can focus on college.
Thanks!!
~Rick
