Hello, i got a question im hopin someone can help me with ... i just lost all my gears in my 86 ranger with the a4ld auto ... will an a4ld transmission from an aerostar van that had a 3.0 bolt up to an 2.9 4x4? and on my transmission i have reverse . i dont have over drive , drive or second gears, but went i put it in first it goes in reverse as well . any help will be great thanks

Check your sshift linkage first then just look in the tech library for your answer imsure its in their

No the 3.0L and 2.9L bell housing patterns are different so they won't match up. if you got one from a 2.8 or another 2.9L is the only way they will work.

thank you orignal_ranger84 .. that helped out alot . i was told that i could use the transmission out 80's ranger with the 2.3 . i tryed to add u to my friends on here as well
