Hello, my grandfather left me his 04 ranger in 2015 when he passed. I have taken very good care of it since, people say I shouldn’t be investing the money I have into it but it was his and I’ve been trying to make it last as long as I can

I am having it painted in 2 weeks, I’ve done a few upgrades, small things like LED head lights, new grill. Rebuilt the front end, water pump, timing chain, cam phaser. All routine maintenance stuff

I discovered this forum when looking for how to adapt mustang wheels on the 04 ranger

I am trying to figure out if these wheels will fit on my truck

I’ve seen on site a list of factory mustang wheels and the combo those guys have made to make it work

I was curious if anyone here could tell off the top of their head if the wheels would fit or rub? Would I need 1/4” spacers? And if I go with the spacers what exact lug nuts do I need to get?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you all

I cannot answer your question but I appreciate what you are doing.
Good luck with it man, and sometimes post some photos :)

Thank you!! I think I’m just going to order 1 wheel, see what has to be done to make it work

Just polished these up this morning

Very nice truck! :)
Thank you! I’m glad you appreciate it, many people think I’m nuts for putting what I have into it

it’s got 122k on it. Motor runs awesome, I’ve taken care of it since 2015, it has 55k back then. I remember when he bought this brand new, it was his first brand new truck. He picked me up from work and brought me home in it

You’re doing a good thing.

You might look here for some wheel/tire info.

Good luck!

Thanks jazzer !! I’ve been on that page and some pages linked through that page all afternoon! Lol tons of info!!

looks like my goal of keeping a 27inch tire with 18” wheels I’m going to have to use a 255/45/18r…

Im probably going to order that one wheel in 2/3 weeks. Then figure out what spacer I need, looks like guys on here with most mustang wheels use a 5/16 or 6mm spacer..

I’ll report back here with my progress

Good lookin truck!
Your doing the right thing, keeping it & maintaining it, both in memory of your GF & financially. Have the wisdom & strength to ignore bad advice.

Any advice on what wheel spacers brands to get?

I don’t have the wheels in hand but it looks like my front space on the factory’s are 4”

going by the websites specs it looks like the mustang wheels are going to have 2.5” up front and 3.5 out back..

Probably going to look into 1.5” spacers/adapters up front and probably 1” spacers/adapters out back..

any brand advice?

Order 4 of the Mustang rear wheels?

I think it is great you are keeping your grandpas truck and keeping it alive. Not many people now a days have the gumption to put the work into something to remeber people from the past. As long as you enjoy it, that is what matters. Just do it a piece at a time and you will get there. Great job!!
