Hello Ranger Enthusiasts - New Owner

Hello Folks,
I am Sahasranshu from Louisiana, and I became owner of a "1998 Ford Ranger XLT" today. I had a Sedan, but I always wanted to have a truck. With god's grace I found one off craigslist.
About the vehicle - It has a 2.5 L RWD with Automatic Trans and has about 93000 miles one owner vehicle. The vehicle was driven 88K miles from 1997 to 2016 but then the owner passed away and in the last 8 years it has just driven 5K miles by his wife.

I am looking forward in bringing back this Ranger to a better form.

It in a bad shape RN. Flaky paint, some areas rusted. I will do some due diligence and then post the pictures.

Welcome! My first Ranger was a ‘98, a hand-me-down from my dad. I loved it with its sticky lifters and ridiculously high lift…but I digress, I’m also relatively new here but this is an awesomely friendly & helpful forum. Good luck on your new old Ranger project!
