Hello everyone. My name is Brian. I'm from central Florida. Figured I would go ahead and introduce myself. I picked up an 88 Ranger project a few months back. Haven't had a whole lot of time to work on it but it's starting to come along now. I got a pretty good deal on the truck off of Craigs List. It had a 5.0 HO motor, The paint and body was in decent shape and the interior was in really good shape as well. The Motor was locked up and it had water in the oil so I knew there was going to be issues there. Sure enough got the motor ripped out and tore down and the block was cracked. Go figure, These blocks don't like to get hot  I traded some nitrous stuff I had laying around for a running H.O. motor and I've got it stripped down and I'm in the process of refreshing it. Did a valve job on the heads, touched honed the block, assembly washed everything and now I'm starting to get things painted. I'm dying to get this thing finished and fired up. I had a bunch of pics of everything but I dropped my camera in the water last weekend when I was out on the boat :pissedoff: Camera is toast, going to see if I get lucky and try to get the pics off the SD card. Had some pics on my comp from the guy I bought the truck from and took some this evening with my phone to post up here. I will get some more when I get another camera.

Pics of the truck when I bought it.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing the other day looking at it. Is there supposed to be clips mounted on the head liner that hold the end of the visor in place? I had another ranger a while back but cant remember if it had those. I think the previous owner of this truck replaced the head liner and maybe just didn't install them. :dunno:

Sorry man, I was just teasing you about the "Bling Wing" lol like some of the trucks have the sun visors over the cab, (I'm not a fan of either)

It looks like a very nice truck though.

Nah, stock sun-visors (in-cab variety) really are that crappy......

Oh ok lol. Yeah I'm taking that off. Just haven't got to it yet. I would like to find a fiberglass tonneau cover for the bed or a roll-lock.
