I have a 1984 Bronco II that I converted to a 1988 302. I’m using an alternator that was designed for a 68 Ford Torino. The computer has been removed, and I’m having a few issues with the electrical swap. The field and stator wires are connected to their proper F & S terminals on the regulator, but the Haynes book I have shows a black wire with Orange stripe that is in the harness being connected to the battery terminal on the alternator.
Question 1) Should that wire be connected to the alternator or other?
Question 2) Where should I tap into the wiring to have my ignition working off the key properly? I’m using a standard point distributor and a carb.
