Just thought I'd register and introduce myself. Looks like a wealth of info here. I'll be here off and on for a while doing some research and checking some of the trucks on here. I don't personally own a Ranger but I'll be wrenching on one with a friend.

Added my location to my profile - Franklin, Tn. We'll be working on a 2wd with a soon to happen 4.6 swap. I think it's going to be a '97 or newer (first year of rack and pinion?) but still old enough to find cheap and throw a later model engine in.

Ah, its Kev's other half on TV. So, when you get this beast fired up and are ready for the road test... who's going to drive it first?!

Welcome to the forums and don't be afraid to ask questions. (even if its "where should we go with the build now" kind of question). There's a lot of experienced minds and an equal number of creative ones here too. One other thing to mention-although there seems to be a lot of V8 rangers floating around this forum, I've yet to come across another V8 powered Ranger and only seen one 2.3 turbo ranger. That makes your build (or anyone else's) rare enough to truely be "my own" yet have the support of others who've been there and broke-er-done that.

One last question. Seems there's a lot of talk about where the project vehicles go after you finish. Do they hit the crusher? Do they auction them off? Maybe you send them to a nice farm???
