Howdy everyone, new here and looking to pickup a used ranger. I have some questions about what to look for and was thinking of posting a thread on what I am looking for (simple, reliability, and under $5k). Maybe someone can point me to the correct forum for my thread, thinking (general discussion)?

The correct direction is likely East. Minimum 200 miles. You will probably find them much cheaper once you cross over into the US.

I like the 95-97 myself. That has the best combo of stuff IMO. Working on the twin I-beam front axles is a little more time consuming, but the parts are much cheaper. Also, reliability doesn't go up drastically, and in some cases comes down some, after that time frame, but since they are 20+ years old you can usually find a good one cheap, if you are patient.
