Hello from planet earth....(Goleta, Ca)

My name is Ed I have a 94 xlt 4.0 4x4. Only thing custom on this is some red neck pinstripes down the sides. 255,000 + miles.(forest service roads .and hiway miles) Still runs quite well. Needs work though. Not quite sure where to start, but since gettin on this site Im fallin in love again with my truck. Just gotta show her. She has taken good care of me so I gotta return the favor. Cant afford new motor so remanufactured ? Still a little too much. junkyard motor or rebuild myself (what I can do myself) If i did a compression check and cyls are holdin compression should I just redo the top end. knocks a little when rpms are dropping and at startup. Rear main leaks a tiny bit oil pan leaks a bit. Anyway I live in Goleta, Ca. came here from Oregon. usually its the other way around. From Portland but lived in Klamath Falls. Bend Prineville, and Prairie City. I Love Oregon and goin back asap. Thanks to this site Im gettin with it on this truck.BFGs ta, convert to manual hubs. bitchin stereo. and oh yea red neck pinstripes. Stihl saw in box And I love getting late im going to bed

welcome to the site Ed, this place becomes pretty addicting, especially once you learn to post pictures and start a build thread. i find myself going home and working on the truck with the camera close by so that i can post up my progress and show it off to others who appreciate the RBV!
