Hello from PA

Hello,

Just bought my first ranger and actually my first truck overall. I bought it with known issues (a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust, pretty sure I have it narrowed down to a head/head gasket issue) for $550. 1992 single cab 4.0 with 134k on the clock. Couldn't pass it up, and I wanted it to be a learning toy, as well as something to haul my KX250 around. Right now I'm currently waiting a little to find the actual issue. Not new to vehicles, I'm fairly mechanically inclined so hopefully all goes well. I'm located in Central PA. Also in the middle of building my 07 STi a second time, and daily driving my 02 wrangler. Hopefully you guys are nicer than the Subaru world, and I hope to learn a lot!

welcome to TRS. I'm from NW PA. sounds like a decent find. its hard to get anything under a 1000 bucks anymore. post pics if you could. yes, generally most of us here i would say are nicer than the subie world haha.

Awesome, always nice to see someone who's somewhat local. I should be able to post pictures later today/this weekend. Just bought a Fel-Pro head gasket set and some new head bolts to see if I can't fix this coolant issue. Pretty excited to tear into this truck!

yeah get to that before its too late. I learned the hard way and drove my 2.9 till it would no longer run lol. im sure i destroyed the crank bearings haha
