Hello everyone. I am looking at buying a truck and its between a ranger and dakota. The ranger is my first choice. I am going to look at one tommarow, its a 2002 with 74000 miles on it. It looks really clean. It has the 4.0 motor and is a 4x4. Anything i should watch for with 74,000 miles? Also how do your rangers do on long highway trips? Im going to be moving out of state later this week and would be driving 11 hours towing a uhaul trailer.

welcome to the site. and my 88 does very good on gas with the 2.9 v6. not sure about 4.0s

I think you're making a good choice by going for the Ranger.

If the truck runs and drives great then I think you'll be fine on the highway trip you need to make. I drive my 87 Daily on the highway, 50 miles a day. If your potential new truck is in good shape, then I bet you'd be fine with going with it.
