New here. Just signed up tonight. Been coming here on and off for years, mostly due to links I've found posted at TurboFord.org.
I've got several 2.3T engines. One lives in a homebuilt Sportscar that started as a wrecked Lotus Europa. Yes I drive this on the street.

This photo was taken 2 years ago. Car looks similar today, except for some different wheel/tire combos and minor trim changes and a few refinements. Mid engine,4 wheel independent suspension,4 wheel discs, big IC, 44lb injectors, etc, etc.appx 300 rwhp w/1600 lbs curb weight. An absolute hoot to drive.
Currently I've been collecting 1st gen Rangers as parts donors. As of now I've gone completely thru a 2wd shortbed chassis. New spring perches,paint,brakes,e-brake cables, late model plastic tank, etc, etc. And just finished installing another of my rebuilt 2.3 Turbo engines, with a Ford Motorsport clutch, and Mazda 5 speed (from a '94 ranger).Did the Dorman plugs on the trans to get rid of the rubber ones, and rebuilt the (sloppy)shifter w/a kit from Dorman as well. Wiring harness swap/repin and fuel system install complete. Nice '88 xlt cab hanging from the trolleys in the garage while I finish swapping in a Manual trans pedal box and clutch master cyl. Just picked up another 2wd '87 truck as a donor of a good short bed to use.
Not going all out with this 2.3T swap. Donor engine came from an XR4ti,and I'm leaving it basically stock for now. Just building myself a fun little runabout for anyday use, unlike the sportscar, which is only for fairweather jaunts, all by myself with no cargo. The little pickup should be a lot of fun.
Bottom line....Glad to be here. I'll be needing some 1st gen parts to complete this, and will have quite a bit of leftovers to sell, once I'm done,as so far I've purchased 5 donor trucks to get what I need,so keep an eye on the classifieds! Hammermechanic out!

Wow! That little green machine looks fast...I'd bet you get plenty of eyeball action when you drive around...

And it sounds like you are going to be building a decent Ranger...I'd offer parts of my 88 for your project but not sure which ones are actually original...maybe the carpet, seats, and some of the rusty parts...

Anyway, welcome to TRS...sounds like you have plenty to offer in terms of building a vehicle...

That thing is pretty sick. What part of NE Ohio are you from? I'm from the Akron Canton area, more specifically Hartville.

Thanks for the "Welcomes" and kind words. Located in Medina County, near Wadsworth and Summit County line.

Hey, welcome from NW Ohio. I've got a couple turbo fords myself but I'm thinking maybe its time to sell 'em off and find a new project...

Got the Pedal Box swap done last night. Managed to do it w/the column in place! All I had to do was pull the cluster and drop the column down a bit from the dash. Easier than I was expecting. A few more bits to tidy up and I can drop the cab back on the chassis, freeing up a bay. Currently cab is hanging in one, chassis sitting in another.
Thanks to all here for the welcomes! Hope I can be an asset here to others.
