Hello my names Phillip I'm from central Kentucky I have a 1984 ford ranger with a flair side bed. I got it for a 289 project but life got in the way I lost my job. But I finally got an interview for a place that's very promising god willing the project is back on. Anyway enough about me here is a picture of her when I got her home.

The current plan is to fix what's there instead of putting a 289 into it. It has the 2.3l in it a 5 speed transmission (I believe its a toyo-kogo 5 more on that later) and it is a 4x4 with I believe a borg warner 1350 mechanical transfer case . Its currently set up for fuel injection but the previous owner did a horrible job of it and I plan to swap to a carburetor for complicity. I know that's a no no but this isn't going to be a daily driver just a weekend truck for going fishing or driving around town or the farm on the weekend. The trucks riddled with problems I would probably be better off putting the bed and some other parts on another truck but when I found the truck I fell in love with it. Hopefully I don't bother you all with questions.
