I just joined from Juneau, Alaska; the most beautiful capital city in the US!
I just picked up a 2006 Ranger Sport 4x4 for the low low price of free! The PO said it threw the front timing chain and everything else works. It’s in great shape for a southeast Alaska car that’s 20 years old. I got it to fix up and drive bc my youngest son has taken learning to drive on my tundra and says he wanted a truck, now he wants ti help me fix the ranger and have that has “his” car. Yay!
I ordered a factory service manual, and an off to look for the timing chain tool kit and timing chain kit.
What else should I replace while I’ve got the engine out? Oh it’s the 4.0 SOHC.
