I have a 1999 Ford Ranger Regular Cab 4x4 with the 3.0L flex fuel and a 5 speed. The truck sits on 31 inch Yokohama Geolander tires that are great on anything I ride in or over.
I came here originally to see what I can do to my truck to improve driveability and make it a more worthy woods machine. I may swap the 3.o for a v-8 but I'm not sure. I might also just chip the 3.0 and see what other performance enhancing mods there are out there. Any help is appreciated. I get a lot of other vehicle manufacturers saying they have the best trucks out there. I have always found Ford to rule the 4x4 arena. I have a Chevy bow tie tattooed on my forearm because of the 1969 Chevelle that I had and loved. But for trucks, Ford is #1.
