...Thanks everyone. Surprisingly, when I removed the rear fiberglass tonneau cover...my mileage increased . It's quite heavy. I have also done the airbox mod, which alone improved by 2 mpg. Next up will be a flowmaster muffler and a leveling kit.

...yeah I hear ya. Around these parts $3000 will get you an 03 ranger rear wheel drive with a shit load of miles on it. I lucked out big time. Low mileage and a 4x4 was icing on the cake. It was posted on a site and i was on there for about 5 minuits when I noticed it. A half hour later I was taking it for a test ride. Within 15 minuits buddy's cell phone went off at least a dozen times with interested buyers.
