Howdy fellow Ranger lovers! This past weekend my grandpa gifted me his 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD 3.0 V6 Extended Cab. The truck only has 25,000 original miles on it. (score!). I already had a truck (2001 chevy C1500 silverado 4.3 V6 2wd 183K miles, which i am now trying to sell). But i am very excited to join the world of Ford Rangers.
My plans for this truck is to do a suspension lift and get bigger all terrain tires. I'm not going to be doing any major mudding or off roading, just mostly logging trails and light off roading, i like to hike and go hunting in the mountains. The primary goal for the lift is to have clearance and height to make it over any obstacles i may encounter. I'm 6'3 and don't really like having to get "down" into vehicles, know what i mean?
Anyways, any advice or encouragement is welcome, I'm new to Ford vehicles in general let alone Rangers. I have a little mechanical experience but mostly just as a hobby and nothing too serious.
I look forward to learning a lot from you guys!
