Transmission
Manual
So I have been browsing this site for about half a year now and I thought I would finally introduce myself.

I am a 21 year old college student going to school in Houghton Michigan.

My First truck was a 1991 Ford ranger, 4.0L, manual transmission, 2wd. The body is beat up and rusted out, I am missing two cab mounts and the window is cracked, but I don't care because I love that truck.

It made me very sad when the transmission went out and I couldn't find a new one in Houghton that I could afford. I tried selling it, but fortunately no one bought it. In the mean time, I bought another truck, a 1991 chevy half-ton. It worked, but it didn't have the same appeal that my ranger had. That summer I went to kalamazoo MI to visit my parents before summer classes started. My mom needed a new mirror for her van and wanted me to go to the junkyard and see if I could find her one. I didn't find a mirror, but I did find a new transmission. Two weeks later when I returned for my brothers graduation party I went to the junkyard and got the tranny.

The ranger lived again, but I still had the chevy. So I put my fiance on the title and she drives it now.

Just recently I found a Bronco II off craigslist for 400 with a bad clutch. I checked it out, fell in love, and bought it shortly after once I sold the chevy. The bronco is rusty, but not as bad as the ranger. I looks like somebody either touched up the black paint with spray paint or painted the whole thing with a rattle can. Again, don't care, I like the thing. It has been sitting for two or three years so the brakes are a little seized up, but the engine runs like it has been run everyday. According to the insurance place it's an Eddie Bauer, but it doesn't have the fancy badge on the outside. It does have the power everything though.

The current plan for the bronco is to get the clutch replaced and get the brakes working enough that I can drive it. Then replace the radio and speakers that had been gutted out of it. Then replace the brakes when I have money. I bought the radio and speakers before I knew about the brakes, other wise I would have spent the money on the brakes. After that who knows what I am going to do to it. The truck is going to be my DD, so I don't want to do anything radical to it.
