This has to be the best site I have found for Ranger info. I currently have 3 Rangers, a 2011 2wd (Wifes ride), a 1992 2wd 2.3 (my DD), and a newly aquired 1984 4wd with a dead 2.8. Plans are to use a 2.3t from my old Tbird in place of the 2.8. The only issue I'm having is locating a bellhousing to bolt to the TK5 in the truck.

Welcome to the site! TK5? Do you mean the tranny, T5? I would hit the junkyards and look for some fox body mustangs. No trans in the turbocoupe?

Bell is for a BW T5, the ranger has a Toyo Kogyo. Has someone modified a turbocoupe bell? The mustangs and such use a cable clutch release, but the 87-88 TC's are hydraulic.

Welcome!

The toyo Kogyo transmission will have a very short life span behind a turbo 2.3L.
