hedders, will these work?

Just picked up a set of 2nd hand but never installed hedman hedders for 1/2 price of new. dont know if anyone has used/tried using them the part # is 88390 wondering how much cutting or fab work will be required around the steering or the frame near the starter?

Don't know about your year truck but here goes..
Front tube drivers side(top of pic) my just well work past the PS pump...
3RD tube pass side (bottom of pic) smack into the cross member........
but Ive been wrong before so take that for what is worth.

What does the headman number apply to?

im pretty sure I can cut and hammer and weld and hammer some more and maybe with a little chewing gum to hold it all together I can make them work

in the hedman book the part numer says they fit a small block ford, but it doesnt give a year range. they show a shorter set that might work better #89470

I know on my 84 the passengerside wouldn't clear the motor-mount/engine crossmember. My headmans(passengerside) run right next to the crossmember and points straight down.

yeah if the drivers side clears, im going to cut and relocate the tube to work on the passenger side, if it dont clear ill sell them and buy the right ones. I didnt think they would fit without any modification and it was too good of a deal to say no to.
