Some people are looking sideways at this post. But I kno a lot of yota guys do it with their 22rs when they run bigger tires. It would be perfect for the 3.0lbc its lack of low end torque, it would help keep the rpms the same and when it does spin up to its happy place it will be even stronger. Now the question is, does anybody make em?

Also this is a little unrelated but is there a difference between the 3.0 m5od gear ratios and the 4.0 ohv m5od gear ratios. Btw my truck is a 93. I cannibolized a 4.0 m5 and put all the gears in my 3.0 case. It runs fine with them but I saw something around hear that said they were different, but nothing clear. The 3.0 doesn like to turn 35s very easy and i have another 3.0 m5 2wd to dispose of. But I have to know if it'd be worth ripping both apart again to find out lol.

The 4.0 M5OD is a "close ratio" tranny, while the the 3.0 and smaller engine M5ODs are "wide ratio". Basically the 1st 3 gears in the 4.0 tranny are taller and closer together.

Ah thankyoi. I guess I could go to a machine shop and have them weight it down and balance it. Or am I an idiot?
