I have a 1989 BII and I have been having problems with the heat. When I try to turn the air on no matter what setting I put it at no air comes out or very little comes out. Every once in a while it will start working for a few minutes and when it does the right temperature comes out as well. I was wondering if someone could me out as to what it might be. I really need the help as I drive up the canyon everyday to work and it's usually about 5 degrees outside in the morning

I would check out the blower motor. If its not working at all, check fuses and the connection to the motor. Its on the firewall on the passenger side. Cant miss it.

If its barely working, try taking it apart and cleaning it up. If that doesnt work, its probably dead.

Ducting might be plugged up.

Mice are notorious for making nest in the ducting, or holes could be torn in it. Probably the blower motor, but I'd definitely clean the ducting out too.

Thanks for the info. I have work off monday so I'll be able to try that stuff and get it figured out.
