Ok, so just got the ranger back out of storage last week. I knew I had a problem last year but opted to wait till spring to fix it.
Im pretty sure my fan was intermittenly working last fall and now I have no fan power at any spot on the speed dial.
I have checked alot of stuff and am still coming up without a fix. The dial is working, amps on the voltmeter using the blower connection goes up as I turn the dial to max power. Both connections on the blower motor and on the resistor have a reading that I think is normal..
I have tested the fan itself by using leads and connecting to the battery and it spins at max power with no problems.
I figured it was for sure the heater resistor that was pooched so got a new one and installed it after taking out the old rusted resistor... Still no fan working.
I have recently scrapped my A/C, (everything but evaporater) b/c I never use it but it always worked great!
I've read some articles on here but before I go tearing apart my dash I wanna get some input from you guys. Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks, CraKel.
