Already did the blend door fix a few years back and has been working great ( http://www.heatertreater.net/magento/ford/ranger/93-08/ford-ranger-93-08.html ).

Now I noticed (cooler mornings ) the blend door is not always moving when I turn the temp knob cool to hot and back. The door is not jammed and will start to move after a couple of times of moving the temp knob back and forth.

So one of two things.. the heater control panel rheostat ? Or the actual blend door motor / actuator ? Best way to test ? I could just buy a new blend door motor or what voltage tests can I do at the motor plug end to monitor as I turn the knob back and forth ?

Thanks in advance.

Replaced Blend Door Motor

Local dealer in town had the motor "on the shelf". That tells me there is a failure rate on these motors for them to keep one readily in stock. Old scenario was door did not move right away.

Now moves right away each time... All is good again.

Motor was $ 75.00 at dealer. Looked around online but there were so many variations to choose from.
