was digging around the local junkyard for mirrors and air filter adapter off of contour for my round air filter. was digging around and noticed that on the 99 contours they had a twincam head and the cam cap said zetec 16 valve. is that the newer duratec based engine or is this a newer style head on the traditional lima engine and/or will it swap? was looking into a dohc swap from a volvo but dont like the headache attached to it, just wanted to see if this by ne chance could work... dug all thru the literature on here and it all says either duratec 2.3 or lima sohc 2.0/2.3/2.5 no information on the zetec 2.3 fig i would ask. the other thing that kind of made me wonder in the first place is the ranger 2.3/2.5 was offered til 2001 and the zetec engine was offered in 98/99 contours and the duratec 2.3 wasnt introduced til 01 nor the fuktus honda based 2.0 til around 03/04 if im not mistaken. (i say honda based because honda/ford worked together to make the focus/civics around that time and all the intake and exhaust mods from a honda will work on the fuktus.) neway if anybody can shed some light on this subject for me it would be very much obliged.
