So I have a ''97' Ford ranger 3.0 and the headlights just stopped working for no reason, now when I push forward for the brights they don't work but when I pull back the high beams work fine, and I checked the bulbs and the wiring and the fuses, wiring harness and I changed the lights switch and and still no headlights, can anyone point me in the right direction as to where my problem is. it would greatly be appreciated.

I had this same thing happen to me a few years ago while I was in Florida. The headlights switch was the problem. Replaced it and it solved the problem. Switch was in stock at a regular auto parts store.
