Okay well last night while driving all of a sudden when I turned on my headlights they didn't turn on at all. Kept messing with the pull switch and they finally did. Stopped by walmart they turned on fine and all of a sudden went off. I checked the fuses and then nothing and all of a sudden out of no where they turned on again.

What could be the problem? What should I check now? No bulbs are blown and all the fuses under the drivers side dash are fine.

Thank You :icon_bounceblue:

I would say you have a bad headlight switch.

My 88 had intermittent head lights on/off...turned out to be the wiring harness connector on the driver side was wonky...when I tried to disconnect it a wire just fell off...closer inspection revealed a few of the wires were loose...I eventually replaced it by joining some wires with bridges and I put four of the pairs through a trailer light connector...but I still had some problems...

There are two sets of wires for the lights in that connector...both red...check it also...but it could be the switch like the above posts say...

Do you get high beams when this happens or no lights at all?
