I lost my headlights driving home 2 nights ago. I have checked the normal things, bulbs look good, fuses, plug ends. I have running lights but no headlights. I am going to borrow a friends meter and start checking for power but I thought I would check here. Thanks for the help.

the dimmer switch is the usual problem i find.

Ford has had trouble with headlamp switches for years.
You may find that the wires at the headlamp connector have melted from overheating.

The dimmer/flash to pass is part of the multifunction switch, which are notorious bad actors. If you need a schematic, send me a PM with your e-mail address (I have the 2000 EVTM, which should be identical).

You should know that there is one 30A fuse #12 in the battery junction box, then a 7.5A fuse #11, 15A fuse #33 (high beam), 10A fuse#'s 4 and 8 (low beam), all in the cab.
