I have a passenger side head light that has functioning high beam but no low beam. I switched it out with my drivers side but then nothing worked. My question is are these sealed beam headlights interchangeable or do i need to buy a new set? If not interchangeable any ideas on a headlight upgrade that you all would like to see done? Non sealed conversion? HID? LED?

So since no one replied i just went ahead and bought a new head light. They are Sylvania Xtravision. I do not expect a big difference but they are an upgrade so ill post pictures when i get them installed tomorrow.

and yes i do know that one headlight will be different than the other but i do not really care.

Both bulbs are the same if I recall correctly. Haven't had to change one yet on my 87 and its been 15 years since I took my 88 off the road. I can't recall if the 88 had sealed beams or not. I am thinking my 89 didn't but I could be wrong. In any case I think left to right both sides used the same bulb.

Moving a bulb you may have had a filament break. If they are replaced as a set it is amazing how close to each other bulbs tend to burn out.

Update*

I got the bulb installed. I do not know what happened the first time when i switched it out but its fixed now. As a comparison for anyone who cares i will get a picture up after i adjust the 'focus screws' (or w/e they are called), probably later this week.

Is it same size light, does it fit in the stock holder or did you have to fanagle?

I think I put the sylvania halogen sealed beam in mine I dont really remember the brand but they work just fine.
